Steve’s deep roots in the local community are best exemplified by his continuing service to Bethel University, his alma mater and a leader in higher education since 1871.
Steve joined the Bethel University Foundation’s Board of Governors in 2013 and also serves on the Foundation’s Investment Committee and Audit Committee. In the summer of 2016, Steve took on additional roles as Chair of the Audit Committee and Treasurer to the Foundation.
The Investment Committee is in charge of all of the Foundation’s investment funds, including funds administered by the Foundation as Trustee. The Audit Committee oversees the financial integrity of the Foundation, including policy and legal compliance matters.
Steve’s service to Bethel is directly in line with his approach to Palisade clients: a measured, risk-averse long-range view of growth based on investment experience and accounting and tax expertise.
